I tried everything.
Did everything "right."
And still felt like garbage.
So I went looking for real answers.

My Story...

It started with a family member grabbing my stomach when I was a kid and telling me to "reign that in."

I was confused. Embarrassed. And I knew something had to change.

Then came middle school. Kids mooing at me in the hallway. Walking home in tears because I was too afraid to ride the bus.

That's where my complicated relationship with my body started.

For years I bounced from diet to diet thinking each one would finally fix me. Instead I just felt more lost. More frustrated. More convinced something was fundamentally wrong with me.

My body felt like it was working against me. Unpredictable periods. Adult acne so bad prescriptions couldn't touch it. Bloating. Constipation. Brain fog. Anxiety that felt debilitating. I stopped sweating when I exercised. I couldn't even drink tequila anymore without feeling instantly awful.

When I asked for help I got "you're probably perimenopausal" and "maybe you're not trying hard enough."

I was eating under 1000 calories. Fasting 16 hours a day. Grinding on my spin bike for hours. Doing HIIT classes. And still felt absolutely miserable.

So I stopped waiting for someone to figure it out for me.

I became a Health Coach, then a Personal Trainer, then a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner. I ran the labs nobody had ever run on me. And I finally got real answers.

The scale isn't where my story lives anymore.

My sleep improved. Headaches gone. Skin cleared. Moods stabilized. Brain fog lifted. I pulled out a pair of shorts I hadn't worn in two summers.

My body stopped fighting me.

For the first time in years I felt like myself again.

Things you should know about me...

I'm a mom to two incredible young adults. One is a college student who loves anything science, bugs, and scuba. The other is soon to graduate and become a teacher for adaptive sports and is an aspiring Paralympian with determination that genuinely takes my breath away.

I'm engaged to Matt, who somehow puts up with all of it.

When I'm not working you'll find me in the coziest corner of my house with a crochet project I swear I'll finish eventually. Or outside with my chickens. Or meticulously grooming my lawn while my family silently judges me. A well-kept lawn is not just grass. It's a lifestyle.

At the end of the day I'm just a woman who spent years feeling like her body was a problem to solve. And then figured out it wasn't.
