I used to think I just needed to try harder.
Eat cleaner.
Work out harder.
Buy better supplements.
But isn’t that exactly what we’re taught to do?
The diet industry tells us to eat less and move more.
The medical system tells us to push through and “keep trying.”
But what happens when you do all the right things and still feel like garbage?
That’s where I found myself.
Tired. Bloated. Anxious.
Running on fumes – wired but tired, pushing through each day on sheer willpower.
What I Discovered When I Finally Stopped and Dug Deeper:
🔎 No Doctor Had Connected the Dots
I had labs that looked “normal” on paper, but my body felt anything but normal. I’d sit there, listing all the ways I felt terrible and everything I was doing – and the response was always the same:
“Keep trying. Push harder. It’ll work.”
How is that even legit? We’re not supposed to treat the paper – we’re supposed to treat the person.
I was literally sitting there saying, “I feel like crap,” and just got the head nod.
🔎 My minerals were in the gutter.
Years of stress, poor sleep, under-eating, and over-exercising had left me chronically depleted in key nutrients like magnesium, potassium, and sodium – the building blocks of a healthy metabolism.
🔎 My gut was struggling.
Low stomach acid, sluggish digestion, and a stressed liver meant I wasn’t even absorbing the nutrients I was trying to feed my body.
🔎 My nervous system was fried.
I was living in a constant state of fight or flight, my stress hormones running the show, and my body paying the price.
🔎 And Even the “Experts” Missed the Mark.
I even paid for one of those fancy online hormone reviews, hoping for better answers.
But instead, I got another $150 worth of supplement recommendations – more pills, more powders, more bandaids.
But here’s the thing: when your body is this depleted, you can add all the supplements you want, but it’s not going to work if your foundation is broken.
You can’t out-supplement a system in chaos.
What I Did to Turn It Around:
✔ Stopped throwing supermarket supplements at the problem.
I focused on real, whole foods, mineral-rich hydration, and true nourishment.
✔ Supported my gut.
I slowed down at meals, added digestive support (lots of fiber), and rebuilt my stomach acid – a game changer for my energy and digestion.
✔ Worked on my nervous system.
Breathwork, grounding, and learning how to actually relax – something I hadn’t done in years.
The Results?
Within a few months, my body finally started responding.
💥 My energy came back.
💥 My digestion normalized.
💥 My anxiety dropped.
💥 I felt like I was coming back to myself.
Real healing doesn’t happen overnight – despite what the diet industry tries to sell us. It’s not about chasing the next quick fix – it’s about working smarter and actually listening to what your body is trying to tell you.
What’s Next?
In a few months, I’ll be able to run these kinds of tests for you too – along with even more metabolic chaos testing to get to the root cause of your own symptoms.
But you don’t have to wait for that to start feeling better.
You can start now – with the everyday things that actually move the needle:
✔ Hydrate with minerals – water alone isn’t enough. Add a pinch of salt or a mineral supplement. (I really like trace minerals – start slow.)
✔ Move in a way that feels good – a 10-minute walk can work wonders.
✔ Breathe intentionally – 5 minutes of deep breathing can reset your nervous system.
✔ Listen to your gut – literally. Pay attention to how food makes you feel.
Ready to Start Feeling Better?
I’ll be sharing more of what I’m learning – the real, unfiltered truth about how to actually heal – over on my new blog.
Stay tuned, and let’s get you feeling good again.
❤️ Nikki
